The Sigma 7 device, developed by BlackOhm, introduces an innovative solar energy harvesting system that significantly extends battery life, achieving up to 4 months of operation on a single charge. The device is powered by a 4Ah custom Lithium battery, further enhanced with Qi 1.2 wireless charging capabilities.

Connectivity and location services are provided through indoor BLE, multi-band GNSS, a variety of network protocols including Multi-Carrier CatM1 + NBIoT, LoRa Network, optional BLE 5.0 private mesh, and Iridium Satellite Communication, offering unparalleled coverage and reliability. Designed to perform in extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to +85°C, the Sigma 7’s compact form factor (5.9×1.45×1.9in, weighing 9oz) does not compromise on functionality.

For communication, it supports a frequency range of 700−2200 MHz LTE and 915MHz for standalone LoRa, along with a 2 dBi antenna capable of providing a maximum range of 75+ miles from a base-station (air to ground). Its durability is certified by an IP68 rating and compliance with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-883H standards. Enhanced features include EMSS integration, a precision altimeter, accelerometer, and sensors for monitoring temperature, shock, vibration, and pressure. The device’s GPS capability achieves unmatched accuracy through concurrent quad constellation reception, capable of pinpoint accuracy within 1 meter.
